Peter Gunn - the Movie. The soundtrack album from the original TV series was the first place I saw reference to Brooks Brothers clothes as a kid. It seemed like a mysterious club I had to join. As far as I know Peter Gunn was never shown in the UK - certainly not in the 1980s when re-runs of other shows were common. It wasn’t until youtube came along that I saw my first episodes and saw Shelly Manne, Frank Rosalino, Victor Feldman, Richie Kamuca and co playing the themes I’d known for 30 years. Unfortunately, the movie is pretty dire.
